  1. I'm really glad to hear that your damage was minimal Aaron. It obviously could have been so much worse.

  2. All things considered, that's about as good an outcome as can be expected, Aaron. Glad to hear the recovery is starting! Let us know if we can help.

  4. Dude, you're not kidding. My neighborhood is immensely depressing and we definitely got really, really lucky. Some people have all their belongings at the end of their yard waiting on the trash teams to come through.

My mom - seeing the damage to the neighborhood for the first time - was balling. We feel so fortunate, blessed, and lucky. I still don't understand how we didn't have at least inches of water in our house based on the photos. It's as if we were being protected by an invisible force field.

  5. Glad to hear the damage is minimal. We are all governed by an unknown force, hard to disprove and this just makes it that much harder.

Stay dry and in good spirits during the rebuilding :)

Aaron, great to hear that damage was minimal. Best wishes to your family.

  7. Thank you for your comment Rob, we're doing okay. We are hoping to be back in our house by this weekend. We're getting our entire HVAC system installed after I ripped out the old one damaged from the flood waters. There are a few other areas where we suffered damage but the most costly was the HVAC.

There was a while where I was worried about my motorcycle which was halfway underwater. But, some friends of mine tore it apart and were able to get it running again. We have been REALLY lucky and we believe there was a huge element of divine intervention that kept our house protected through the flooding.
