At this point everyone should be aware that ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion Builder hit public beta today and are available for download. What you might have missed is there are finally public bugbases for ColdFusion server and ColdFusion Builder. The labs.adobe.com site has links for each of these bugbases on the individual product pages but the URLs are super long and impossible to remember. Here are shortened versions you can save in your bookmarks.

I whipped up two iPhone wallpapers to help you show your love for ColdFusion. Both feature the ColdFusion Rocks dude who originally appeared on the Flex/AIR 1.0 launch poster and postcard. If you can't see him he's rocking out on the ping pong table. To download the wallpaper point Safari on your iPhone to this blog post and press and hold each image to save.

My Blog is Now Hosted at Linode

Posted by Aaron West at 11:00 AM in ColdFusion, Site News

Last week I accomplished something I had been thinking about for at least a year, moving this blog to my own server. I had been hosting this site with a popular shared hosting provider for nearly four years and had not been happy for a long time. Picking a shared hosting provider in 2005 had been a pretty easy thing to do. I wasn't too comfortable with managing an entire Linux server so having others take care of it while I simply managed and wrote content was a good choice.

In case you were one of the folks sleeping while the rest of us stayed up to unveil public betas for ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion Builder, it happened. You can read all about it here. And now that the cats out of the bag it should make today's presentation with Terry Ryan very interesting. Terry's talk was announced last week and was dubbed as an uncensored event on ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion Builder. I suppose it's apparent what that means now. Terry will be able to discuss any and all of the features in the public betas so don't miss it!

The presentation is part of the Online ColdFusion Meetup group and promises to be a no holds barred event. Full details including who, what, where, how to RSVP, and how to join the meeting when it starts are available on the ColdFusion Meetup site. Here's a quick overview of the event from the user groups site.

Join us for this special one-time only event, on a special day: while Adobe has been doing Centaur/Bolt user group tour event over the past few weeks, at each meeting they've shared more and different things. This event will be the capstone tour event, revealing all the features shared to this point, and more. Adobe ColdFusion Evangelist Terry Ryan assures [Charlie Arehart] that nothing will be held back as he talks about both Centaur and Bolt.
