Warning About Client Variables

Posted by Aaron West at 11:29 PM in ColdFusion

Besides all the normal warnings and disclaimers attached to client-scoped variables (like never store them in your servers registry) here's something else you definitely want to know. Apparently, setting the purge interval to 0 hours and 0 minutes will cause ColdFusion MX 7 to purge client variables about every millisecond. Obviously, this could wreak havok on a server, so uh don't do it. For more information on this you can check out this technote (http://www.adobe.com/go/2621e228). While you're at it, why not subscribe to the ColdFusion Technote RSS Feed. You too can stay "hip" on the latest in ColdFusion Notifications.
