After three days, Chloe and Pixel seem to be becoming friends. It's really great to watch the transition. Two cats, forced to cohabitate, totally hate each other at first. Over the course of spending all their waking and sleeping (more sleeping) hours together they finally come to the realization that it's not going to do any good to fight with each other. They make friends, and all is well. It's hilarious when you think about it.
Work has been insane as usual. I'm still working my arse off on the same project. In fact, I gave a presentation today on the product as a whole and the technology behind it. I really have enjoyed working on this project, and I really believe it's going to make a huge difference for the end-users. All the technology behind this thing, working together to produce a more meaningful experience for the users, is really a rewarding thing to be involved in. It's been a long time coming in creating a series of courses of this significance. And as far as development goes, we've spent a lot of time to make this thing happen; I can't wait to finally see the first 5 of these courses go up. I've actually learned a good bit in programming these courses!
Oh, good news came in concerning the house. The wife and I will be moving in earlier than expected. We close on the 24th, and were originally going to be getting possession of the house on the 27th. The seller has somehow found extra help in moving and will now be able to give us possession on the night of the 24th. This works out great for us. We'll be able to move in on the weekend and have all of Memorial Day to work on getting things in the right place. Moving furniture, setting up the rooms etc etc. I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to move.. I'm sick of the apartment, I long for my own garage, and I'll be so happy to actually own my home. The next week can not go fast enough for my satisfaction.
One last thing... and this is so cool!! The company CEO is paying for all of the employees to take off after lunch this Friday to go and see the new Star Wars movie (Episode II - Attack of the Clones)! He's paying for the entire thing out of pocket. Is that not awesome! He does this kind of thing on occassion.. Indeed a pretty cool guy.
